Holi-MiZ 14: Visiting the New National Library

25 Jul 2005
Just surfing around the internet in the morning. Skipped breakfast as usual. Well, that's what I always did during school holidays when I was in JC.

Later in the morning, I decided to went out to the new National Library that was just opened a few days ago. Thought of asking HJ to come along with me, but since he just woke up, and he need to do some other stuffs, I decided to go there myself.

Hmm... the building itself is really big... But the loaning section is only found in the basement. There are also references books on L7 to L13 (in which only L7 to L11 are accessible to the public), but they are not for loaned. There are also some other things at L3 and L5, but most of them are closed, so I could not really tell much about that. There is also a cafe at L1, which is owned by Han's (well, if you had eaten at Han's before, you should know what kind of food they have there).

Thought of going some other place to walk around, but I decided to go home instead as I need to pack my things. Think that this coming week might be the longest week in camp, so I really need to plan what I need to do just in case...

The Sunny MiZ 22: From A to D

24 Jul 2005
After handing over my duty to the next duty personnal, I took my father's car and had breakfast outside.

Went out for violin lesson early in the afternoon, taking my father's car there. Well, the teacher said that we were doing things quickly, and he hoped that we could maintain the standard. Now we were starting to do a piece that is in D major (previously we were doing pieces only on A major). Wonder what grade we would be taking next year...

After the lesson, I decided to go to library@esplanade to browse for some music scores. Came across some classical scores for guitar. Thought of showing that to SJ, but as it was all written in notes (tou4-ya2 as what some people said), and most of thems did not have guitar tabs, I decided not to do so (well, maybe perhaps later).

After that, I went to Funan Digitalife Mall to walk around. Came across a WarioWare game (something that is similar to the WarioWare: Twisted some of you people had been playing, where you need to twist the GBA one) for gamecube. It cost about $39. Tought of getting one, but as I did not have enough money, I decided to wait until my next payday.

After I went back home, I started to practise my violin wildly for no apparant reasons... Hmm... think it was very fun to play with...

MiZiSat 22: NDP Combined Rehearsal 5

23 Jul 2005
Practically it was just the same thing as what I did for the previous duty. Well, it was the busiest early in the morning while I had to send a fax to General Staff Ops Centre (GSOC) and also to 3 SIR (currently a 2-NTM unit), and also had to do radio checks as well. After that, I started reading Friday newspapers found in the ops room and Saturday newspaper bought by the duty clerk.

Spent most of the time sleeping on the duty signal desk in the afternoon. Just felt very tired on that day, maybe because I was being stressed out by a big mistake I had made the previous day (if you want to know what is it, I will tell you when I back in there). Looked like I might be the next person to stay back in camp for the next (or even maybe the next few) weekends...

Started to sleep very early in the evening as well. Just felt really tired...

MiZ in Weekdays 22: Another Week Past...

19 Jul 2005
Ok, practically nothing special happening on that day. Well, just that I decided to go to the gym later in the afternoon.

20 Jul 2005
Well, there was SOC training on that day, but since I had already passed my SOC some time ago, I could stay inside my bunk and rest. Well, maybe not just rest. HJ and I decided to wash the toilets near the enlistees mess after our breakfast.

After the SOC training had ended, someone called and asked those who did not have to go for SOC training to help to mount radio sets on the vehicles. Thought that there would be quite a number to mount, but it turned out that there was only one A vehicles which needed the radio sets to be mounted... Well, since I was not really that proficient in mounting radio sets in A vehicles, and there were also too many people inside the vehicle to mount the radio sets, I just had to wait there...

Well, decided to watched movie with PSQ, SJ, WQ, KQ and DZ of The Island. Had to say that the movie was nice, and it also contains certain surprises, especially when I had not watched the preview. Well, I think you should give this movie a try, if you have not watched it yet.

21 Jul 2005
In the morning, we had our Racial Harmony video presentation by S1. Well, they just showed us the video about different cultures of birth, marriage and death. Well, the video was somewhat interesting I had to say, which was kind of surprising to me... Some people could just fall asleep, which I supposed that was not the kind that there were interested in...

Later in the afternoon, the "bus" said that QM need 4 people to help him in somethings. Well, just didn't know what he was up to when he initially asked those people that didn't have to take SOC to go, in which later he eliminated some people as they worked a lot, which only left a very small amount of SOC-passes. Eventually, he later said that it could just be anyone, so long as they were not the ones he eliminated. Well, it turned out that Alex, WB, WQ and me helped out eventually, and the thing was that WQ was one person the "bus" eliminated. Ok... what's then?

Anyway, we first helped the QM department to return about 100 jerry cans to 40 SAR at Keat Hong camp. While we reached there, they said that they were short of a few more... Well, maybe they really need to check very carefully first. Ok, after that, they said that they only wanted those jerry cans that were completely free of water, and told us to go back and take those. Well, thought that it would be a waste of energy, so Alex decided to fight back with the pouring out any of the remaining water inside the jerry cans and leave it to dry instead. So, we had to empty about 100 jerry cans outside 40 SAR storeroom.

While the QM people went back to take the remaining jerry cans, we then went to the canteen and had a break first before proceeding on to another task... cleaning and returning arms. Well, most of the arms were already cleaned, so we were tasked to clean that M16 rifles that has additional components onto it (well, I don't know what is that rifle called though). Just anyhow clean it... After that, we had to helped to move all the rifles into the armskote room over there... Kind of tiring though.

After all the worked that we done, we went back to camp, reaching there at about 6.15pm. Well, at least the QM people helped us to packed dinner (the dinner was not good though...).

22 Jul 2005
Some people went to the office to try to get the NDP rehearsals ticket for that coming Saturday. As there were only 10 tickets for 5 people, and there were more than 5 people trying to get those tickets, I decided not to go (well, it's only a rehearsal). After that, there were practically nothing much to do. Tried to make a paper rose in the morning, but eventually Victor did most of the job while helping me to do so.

As I had to take over ops room duty signal at about 6pm as the person need to go for convoy later on, I did not went out for nights off. Well, it's ok since I already went for nights off on Wednesday. Anyway, after the duty clerk had his dinner, I went to the resting area and start to sleep straight away.

Holi-MiZ 13: Movie Treats from Cathay

18 Jul 2005
Skipped breakfast in the morning as I had no appetite. Later in the morning, KQ asked me whether I would like to join them for two movies, "War of the Worlds" at 11.30am and "Fantastic 4" at 3.30pm. They had free movie tickets in exchange from a cutout from newpapers to celebrate Cathays 70 years. I agreed with that.

Happened to met KQ, WQ and CC at Burger King. They were having breakfast there after getting the tickets. We then went up together to watch the first movie. Well, realised that I actually missed quite a lot when I watched that movie with other people when we were very late.

After the movie, after some pondering and desicions, we decided to eat at Thai Express at Paragon for lunch. Well, I ate the same thing again, which was Curried Soft Shell Crab with rice. Just couldn't really decided what I should eat.

After that, we went to a game shop at Cineleisure as I requested to have a look there. We then met WB and WH for the next movie. Well, thought of getting popcorn to have my mouth occupied during the movie, but decided not to as I afraid my stomach had not much space for dinner. Fell asleep at one part of the movie for some reasons that I still had not find out... Maybe I was feeling a bit tired...

After the movie, WH, KQ and WQ decided to make their move first, while CC, WB and me decided to have our dinner at a food court at the basement of Cineleisure. After dinner, we then walked to Orchard MRT station as WB need to meet his friends there.

Ok, really need to prepare my things now.

The Sunny MiZ 21: Mostly outside...

17 Jul 2005
After handing over my duty in the morning at about 8am, I went straight home to put down my things before going out to have my breakfast with my family. Well, my father decided to bring us to Long John Silver at Junction 8 to had our breakfast. After that, I went to have my hair cut at EC house at the same place.

Went out early in the afternoon again to go for my Violin lesson. Well, the teacher said that I need to hold the Violin properly as I had not being doing so for some of the times. Ok, I managed to get to hold the bow correctly after some practise. Hopefully I won't get back to my bad habits.

After my Violin lesson, I walked around at Orchard and bought 3 CDs from Borders, one is a selection of works from Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 - 1767), and the other two are Flute works from Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750).

Later in the evening, my secondary school classmates asked me out for a dinner. Well, we had our dinner at S11 at Bishan and had our ice-blended coffee at Coffee Bean at Junction 8. As my friend Kavan need to prepare to book in later, he then went off first. The 3 of us, Wei Jian, Wenjie and me walked around at Junction 8 before going back home.

MiZiSat 21: NDP Combined Rehearsal 4

16 Jul 2005
Ok, as usual, had to send fax to GSOC and a 2-NTM unit and conduct radio check in the morning. After that, I was free to do anything I like.

Well, as the power supply was cut off in later in the morning and afternoon, we only had backup power for ops room, which didn't provide us any air-conditioning in the room. Felt so hot and stuffy in the ops room that I had to lie down on the bed to rest.

As the cookhouse did not have any power to prepare lunch, they had to packet the food from some other place. Well, the food did not really taste good though... If I know that they were going to pack food, I would not have come to the cookhouse to eat...

After that, I had to continue to rest and fan myself in the ops room without air-conditioning. Had stomach cramps later due to the posture that I was sitting...

The power came back at about 3.30pm. Finally, we had the air-conditioning back again in ops room. Well, decided to rest in the ops room till the next day.

MiZ in Weekdays 21: ACCT Finale!!!

12 Jul 2005
Supposedly we should have our ACCT revision in the morning in the hall, but as the people taking wanted ICCT to be held in the hall (which clashes with our ACCT), we were told to the SOC ground to have our revision. Ok, so we went there, but as the provost came to our camp as a surprised and check the Bronco bunks, eventually the lesson was cancelled due to that.

Continued with our RPS routine in the afternoon. Well, later in the afternoon, we went to the gym. Right after I signed in for the gym, Stanley called me and said that the RSM would want to see those people that ran away from RSM while he was jogging some time ago... Well, thought that we were going to be in deep trouble because of that. Well, while Stanley went back to bunk to call for JF, he asked Alex and me why we ran away. Well, our response was that we thought he would not be happy to see us hanging around just like that, so that's why we ran away. He then told us that it was actually ok, and started telling his story when he was a CSM in Bronco company. Well, there were some people training for standing broad jump just outside the building while he came back to Bronco. Those people, upon seeing the used to be Bronco CSM, decided to ran away. The used to be Bronco CSM, upon seeing that, got angry and called those people out. He then punish them by doing some stupid and tiring things...

Ok, after his story had ended, Stanley and JF then just arrived. The RSM then told us to see him tomorrow as he had no time. Well, he told us to prepare our field pack, which I don't think he would check from the tone he said that.

13 Jul 2005
Ok, the 4 of us were supposed to see RSM in the morning, but as Alex did not have that patience to wait for JF and Stanley to get ready, he just went off first to see him. Well, when he came back, he told us that we did not have to see RSM, but there was a different story later on...

Ok anyway, as they need some people to go to Keat Hong Camp to return some stores, I decided to go along with TH and Alex. Firstly, the tonner had to fetch the Bronco people to Jurong Camp, so we had to wait for sometime as they need to prepare. Well, a dispute happened between the "train" and another person... Haiz......

After they fetched the Bronco people to Jurong Camp, we then exchange one of the radio transmitter in one of the BVs and then proceed on to Keat Hong Camp. As Alex and I stayed back in Keat Hong Camp to return stores to 403 SAR, TH then leave to Padang to get the radio sets to return back to them. Well, we finished the stores very quickly, but as we need to wait for the tonner to fetch us back, we then waited in the canteen for about 3 hours. After that, we were told to prepare the stores needed to be loaned from 417 SAR. Well, we could not get the those that day as the LOa wasn't been done yet. After that, the tonner came and we went back to camp.

Didn't really go for nights off as I felt very tired on that day.

14 Jul 2005
Mostly rested in bunks in the morning. After that, we need to move some of the stores from the QM signal store to our signal storeroom.

In the afternoon, we had our ACCT grading. Well, as we were one of the last few detail to be tested, we just waited there for our turn, and also looking at the rest of the people while they were doing their grading. Well, soon it was our turn to be the volunteer for ACCT. The person really slamed me really hard onto the floor. Almost lost my conscience during that time, that I caused the person to repeat his one of the grabs and knife threats.

After a while later, it was our turn to perform our ACCT. Worried that I might forgot some things there, but it actually turned out quite smooth. The examiner didn't asked me to repeat anything at all, even though I made some very minor mistakes somewhere.

After that we had to go for sparring. Well, I partnered with a Bronco person, which had certain martial arts skills. Well, as I did not have any, he promised that he would be leniant a bit. Well, as it turned out to be, he gave me some chance to attack. Hmm... think he is a nice guy that is willing to give some way to me, at least better than JL which gave me almost no chance to attack him at all.

After our grading, we went to have our dinner directly and then went back to bunk and rest.

15 Jul 2005
Had to see RSM again in the morning as Alex again as usual did not told us the proper thing again. We were actually supposed yo see RSM together on Tuesday morning after Alex had seen him, but he did not told us that, and instead told us we did not have to see him... Hmmph...... Ok, the RSM again told us that he was ok with us hanging around in the smoking point chit-chatting, as long as we did not run away when we see him.

After that, we just went back to our bunk and perform our RPS routine until evening.

Decided to go for night's off in the evening as I wanted to duplicate a key. Had dinner with SJ and walk around at Jurong Point. After that, I took my father back to camp to take over HJ duty, and at the same time, passed him my clothes to bring back to wash.

Holi-MiZ 12: Watching Initial D

11 Jul 2005
Skipped breakfast in the morning as I was just too tired to eat. After that, I just surf around online, looking for some tips for Maple Story.

Later in the morning, I went out to Lido to buy a movie ticket for myself on Initial D. Just only managed to catch the show then after it was being released for quite some time. After that, I went to Borders to buy music CDs, "Mozart: The Great Violin Sonatas, Vol.1". Thought of buying some music related to Flute, Oboe or Clarinet, but decided to buy the Violin Sonatas instead since the music were really nice.

After the movie, I went straight home to prepare my things to book in and also to continue playing Maple Story. Think I am really addicted to the game...

The Sunny MiZ 20: A Normal Sunday

10 Jul 2005
Had breakfast with my family in the morning at Ang Mo Kio food centre. After that, I went back home to prepare for my Violin lesson and continue playing Maple Story.

Well, my Violin teacher said that our class progress much faster than other classes that he took. Well, after like about 2 to 3 months, we were already doing No.8 for Suzuki Violin School book, in which the previous teacher they had could only do so for about 1 year. Hmm... think we may even start to take Grade 3 Violin next year, skipping Grade 1 and Grade 2, if we were to continue with this pace.

After the lesson, I had my lunch at Long John Silver before going back home and continued with my Maple Story.

MiZiSat 20: NDP Combined Rehearsal 3, NE Show 1

09 Jul 2005
Well, just as usual did my ops room duty signal for NDP. Started to sleep earlier this time. Think I slept even before lunch... Basically just nothing much, except to watch cartoons in the morning, play Gameboy Advance and sleep in the afternoon, and sleep in the evening.

Well, YB took over my duty at about 10pm at night. Well, just fell asleep for no reason... Ok, that means I could book out earlier and rest...

After I got back home, I continued playing Maple Story for sometime before going to bed.

MiZ in Weekdays 20: At least a bit more interesting than the previous week...

05 Jul 2005
Had our ACCT in the morning. Well, basically, we just revised what we had learned to prepare for the grading. After that... well, we continue with our RPS routine.

Later in the afternoon, we were told to dig the side of the grass patch near the HQ block and the QM block. Well, it was definitely a tiring and horrible job as what we did for the last time. We had to digged the side of the grass patch near the road and drains and had to clean up after that... Well, we didn't really clean the road though. After that, we had our late dinner. Well, the dinner was really quite bad, with the rice being so hard to swollow... Hey, at least give us something better after all the hard work we had done...

06 Jul 2005
Again we continued with our RPs routine. Just don't know why I could slept for almost the whole day... Must be because of the grass digging...

Had nights off later in the evening. Thought of staying back in camp to practise my strings, but as someone managed to say out the magic word to me, I immediately agreed to go out with them. Well, we wanted to watch Fantastic 4, so we decided to book the tickets at 7pm at GV Jurong Point for the 4 of us, which were PSQ, SJ, WQ and me. However, we managed to get a cab from camp to Jurong Point and reached there before 6.30pm. We then decided to catch the 6.30pm show instead since there were still a lot of seats available. What I could say about the show is that it is quite humourous and interesting, definitely a lot much better than War of the Worlds.

After that,we proceed on to our dinner. Well, at the same time, I went to a game shop there to buy a Gameboy Advance game "Warioware: Twisted". After reading a review from somewhere, I decided to get one as I thought that the game was interesting. You don't need to use the directional pad for the game. All you just need is to tilt or move your Gameboy to play those mini games. It cost me about $65, but I thought it's worth getting one, since I could not really stop playing it...

07 Jul 2005
We had our company Happy Hour at night. Before that, we had to prepare some stuffs for the Happy Hour. We had to move the planks from Scorpion block and the crates from Bronco block to set up a stage behind the enlistees mess. After that, we had to lay the groundsheet/tentage cover over the planks and the crates to see if it fits. Quite tiring though... Somemore we had to move the stage because they want the stage to be set somewhere else... Haiz... why must there be a Happy Hour? It made our lives even more miserable...

Later in the afternoon, we then continue with the rest of the work for the stage by putting up white bedsheet behind the stage and also set up the PA system as well. That's quite a lot of work to do for a Happy Hour. We even still have to pack up those things as well after it had ended...

At least the Happy Hour wasn't that bad after all... The organiser, the Senior Medic, still able to crapped a lot on stage. Good thing I was not some kind of high ranking officers, or I would be forced to drink a whole lot of beer. Could see that some people are really drunk during the Happy Hour when they started to vomit or could not walk properly. I supposed even the CSM and the Senior Medic were drunk since they were really nonsense, crappy and loud on stage. Well, also someone was also being stripped on stage as well (but not fully), and also dance as well, which I thought it was really disgusting...

After the Happy Hour ended, we quickly pack the things so that we could go back to bunk to rest early.

08 Jul 2005
In the morning we had to digged the grass AGAIN. We were supposed to dig up to the RSM office area, but we only digged up to the bridge, which was some distances away from the RSM office. Ok, that would be another hard work for us. After that, we had to clean the toilet and our bunks as the CSM would be checking the area later in the morning. Before we could even finish the area cleaning, the CSM was already walking towards our bunk. That was really OMG!!! We quickly hid our things inside the cupboard and make a rush touch-up before he came in. Well, not much being said to our bunks, but started to shout when he opened the window to discover a durian seed just outside the window... Well, too bad durian don't grow on concrete ledges, nice try for the person trying to plant a durian tree outside.

We got to have 1/2 day off after that. Well, I just went home straight away as I need to bring home some clothes to wash. Played Maple Story almost the whole afternoon as well. After that, I had to booked in to camp to take over the duty from WB, who need to go to Padang for NDP the next day.

Monday, July 04, 2005

Holi-MiZ 11: Youth Day Holiday

04 Jul 2005
Skipped breakfast today as I did not really have much appetite to eat. Again play Maple Story in the morning. Think I'm really addicted to the game...

Later at noon, I had to try to get off from the computer as I need to collect the certificate for my Grade 6 Theory of Music exams. Well, the office only opened from Monday to Friday, from 27 Jun 2005 to 15 Jul 2005, so I really need to collect the certificate, or I had to pay $3 for the certificate to be sent here. Don't know if the postman can be trusted, even the words "Certificates, Do Not Bend" was printed on the envelope itself.

Thought of watching a random movie today, but as it was Youth Day Holiday, there were a lot of school students watching the movie as well. As expected, the queue to the ticketing booth were really long, so I decided not to watch any movie.

Went back straight home after walking around at Plaza Singapura and put my certificate on the folder. Well, as I signed up for the exam myself, the name of the presenter is me. Think it's really odd to present the certificate to myself... Maybe when I'm free, I'll show you the certificate on the blog.

Ok, going to continue playing the game Maple Story, but before doing so, I need to publish my blog entries first and to pack my bag.

The Sunny MiZ 19: Happy Youth Day!!!

03 Jul 2005
After booking out from camp, I went back home to put my things down and went out with my family to had my breakfast.

After that, I had to go for my violin lesson. The teacher said that I still hold the bow incorrectly. Well, the correct way is to hold the bow in the way that you could turn the bow where the bow hair faces you, but I always hold it in the way the bow hair faces outwards instead. Also trembles when I tried playing some pieces to the teacher. I supposed the aircon was just too cold...

After my lesson, I just went back home and start installing Maple Story JF had given me a few days ago. Well, it was really quite fun to me. Just couldn't get off from the computer once I started playing this game.

In the evening, I had my dinner with my family at Noodle Hut at United Square. Hmm... just don't know if it was a special occasion on that day. Maybe because they were celebrating Youth Day for me? I don't think that's the case though, since if they were going to do that, they would not have brought me to that place to have dinner.

Continued playing Maple Story after we came back from dinner... Think I'm addicted to the game...

MiZiSat 19: NDP Combined Rehearsal 2

02 Jul 2005
Ok, again had to do ops room duty signal. Well, it's Loges doing the ops room duty clerk. Ok, the HQ COS, which was 3SG Ian, bought quite a lot of food into the camp to share it with us, which includes Sheperds pie and banana bread. Most of the time, we were just watching TV or resting on the bed while in the ops room.

Well, I did bought my CD walkman, Gameboy and flute into the ops room, but I never get to touch them at all during that day. How surprising... It's just that I spent a lot of time lying on the bed resting or daydream, or maybe watching TV. Almost never left the restiing room, except to do radio checks, fax and also to have my meals.

Experience some problems faxing the redcon report to the General Staff Ops Centre (GSOC) though. According to Roger and SJ, if I could not send the fax to them, I had to ask the DO to e-mail to them. It seemed that the DO knows that there was some problem faxing to GSOC, when he just took away the redcon report after I faxed them to 5 SIR and repeatedly failing to fax to GSOC.

MiZ in Weekdays 19: Another boring week...

27 Jun 2005
Another ops room duty signal. This time, it's the regimental one. Just nothing so special about that duty. Since we can't use the television and the bed during day time (office hours), I just had to stick to my signal desk and listen to music, playing with gameboy and rest. Well, I also bought my flute along to play. Still couldn't produce a clear sound yet.

28 Jun 2005
We had ACCT in the morning. As we were training for the pugilsticks, we had to do a lot of stretching exercises. Very painful and tiring... since my body is very inflexible.

Later in the afternoon, after I took a rest, I decided to play my flute. Well, still trying to get the sound from the flute. Ok, after certain tries and finding the correct angle in which the flute should be blown, I managed to get a clear sound out of it. Well, at least that's an achievement. Ok, I also decided to let others try my flute as well. Amazing how WB managed to get a clear and loud sound just only with a first try! That's something very few beginners managed to get. I think he should really learn to play the flute.

29 Jun 2005
Nothing so special about the day. Most of the time, we were just doing our RPS routine.

Well, after someone asked for nights off with our signal warrant, we were allowed to go for that. Well, just because someone had work to do fo the whole day and night, we should not really be confined inside our bunks, right? Ok, I decided to watch a movie "War of the Worlds" with LJL, WQ, SJ, JR, WB, DZ and OJL. Ok, the last 10 minutes was... well... somewhat very surprising, in the way that I didn't really like. No wonder why someone would say that you could start leaving the theatre 10 minutes before the show ended. As usual, I had my large popcorn combo as my dinner. Well, initially JR could not believe that I could not finish that even after the show ended, but I proved him wrong. Well, in fact I already finished it after about 1/3 of the movie shown.

30 Jun 2005
Had our ACCT in the morning. Since SJ had to go to the hospital for minor operation, I had to partner with LJL for pugilsticks. It's really OMG when I was doing the pugilsticks with him. I did not really stand any chance to fight back with him. There was also one time where he kicked my stomach quite hard that I felt very uncomfortable after a few hours. Well, he had learn Taekwondo, that's why...

Ok, nothing much in the afternoon, just the RPS routine. Later, HJ and I go with the dinner tonner to SAFTI range to do sentry for night shoot that was going on there. Well, why yhe 2 of us? According to someone, as there was SAF day the next day, we had nothing to do for that day. Ok, after all the PA system is really nothing to him, even considering the fact that he did not know how to set up nd operate properly, based on past experiences. Another thing was that there was not going to be a parade for SAF day, so afterall most of the people will just be sitting on the multi-purpose hall and listen to the speech. Ok, maybe the haircut and uniform inspection is going to be hectic, so that's why they need more time to rest. But isn't doing the PA system still something at least? I think our work on the PA system are just NOTHING at all to him. Well anyway, it was quite boring though. We were also bitten by the mosquitoes there as we had not brought the insect repellent along.

01 Jul 2005
Well, it was SAF day. By right we should have a parade, but the CO decided just to have the talk at the multi-purpose hall instead. He said that we are allowed to bring camara phones along, provided that we have to fill in certain declaration forms. Ok, at least that's something...

Later I was asked to open the I-net. While on duty, I was people from company lines booking out then. Heard that they were all given half-day off on that day. How good... After looking at them walking out of camp in their civilian attire, I had no mood to do I-net duty and decided to close it at 1pm "unofficially" (you know what I mean).

In the evening, I decided to stay in camp as I had to take over the duty at night. Quite surprisingly they had Western for dinner. Well, at least that's something good for me, didn't have to waste my money outside to eat western food.

Took over the duty quite early from Stanley as I had nothing much to do in bunk. Well, I immediately fell asleep after the duty clerk had come back from a shower.
